Newcastle-based singer songwriter Jake Houlsby is very pleased to announce the release of his folk-infused single “Carousel”.
The follow-up to his debut EP, “Yannina“, “Carousel” sees the troubadour subtly exploring new territory with Ajimal and Bridie Jackson and the Arbour producer Mick Ross.
Having steadily honed his craft since becoming the proud recipient of the Alan Hull Award for Songwriting in 2013, Jake has performed in venues such as The Roundhouse in London and The Sage Gateshead, supporting Gaz Coombes, The Lone Bellow and Paper Aeroplanes, among others.
B-side to the single will be the enigmatic “Sabinal”. Self-produced and recorded in his bed-room, “Sabinal” unveils a darker side of Jake’s writing.
“Carousel” is officially released on Friday 15th April.
