Docks is a slowcore/dream pop duo based in Toulouse.
The band self-released their first EP ‘Montseny’in 2018, followed by ‘Ballast EP’ (Youth Riot Records) in 2018 and ‘Terracotta Ladder’ (Hidden Bay Records) in 2019. After touring around Francea few times (with Nina Harker and Special Friend), the band returned to Xavier Nadal’s studio in Barcelona and recorded two new tracks for their first vinyl release.
After being postponed for 6 months due to the pandemia, the ‘Cardinale Nord’ 7” will finally be out on November 20th, via Hidden Bay Records, Discos de Kirlian and Araki Records.
After fluctuating between slowcore, shoegaze and dream pop, the duo’s recent output has seen them venture into more upbeat territories. The two instrumental tracks on this record resemble pop collages, each made up of several different moods and atmospheres. It’s been a hard year but we hope at least a little solace can be found in Docks’ affirming and comforting melodies.
