First single release from the forth Epilogues album, “My Captain”.
Epilogues is the brainchild of London-based musician Mikey Donnelly. Epilogues have been firm purveyors of their unique brand of ethereal, contemplative folk for several years.
Initially a totally solo venture, Donnelly launched Epilogues with the self-titled, debut EP in 2012, which was written and recorded in Norwich (his then place of residence). It served as a document of a premature and reluctant departure from the city later in the year.
Having relocated to Leeds, Donnelly enrolled on a BA in Music Production at Leeds College of Music. Here, a passion for songwriting and producing flourished, and seven months after his debut, his second (slightly longer) offering was released – The Cartographer. From this release, Epilogues have received acclaim from the likes of Supajam, Counterfeit Magazine, The 405, and Radio 6’s Lauren Laverne.
With increasingly diverse arrangements, Donnelly enlisted the help of his his younger brother, Joe, to help bring another dimension to the live act. The two brothers played an abundance of shows together – a live presence which has consistently been celebrated by critics and fans alike. Epilogues found themselves at festivals, a vast array of different venues, both conventional and unconventional.
