“Dominoes” is the first new track by Dusken Lights after their gorgeous 2016 album “In The Service Of Spring“.
Dusken Lights is a rickety apparatus – comprised of wood, wire, chrome and electricity – that gives form to the compositions of Australian songwriter Paul Watling (Rabbits Wedding, Dusken Lights). Honed with his long time pals – Francesca Bussey (The Cannanes, Dusken Lights), Philip Rawlinson (Rabbits Wedding, Dusken Lights) and Alex Salter – their output is sporadic. Just when you think you’ll never hear from them again, plumes of smoke rise from the old brick chimney above the loungeroom songsmithing furnace, heralding another release, in much the same way as the blessed announcement of a new pope. Live performance? It has been known to happen but don’t hold your breath.
