Ella van der Woude is a Swiss-Dutch, Amsterdam-based musician, songwriter and composer. A versatile artist who scores movies, performs in bands and immerses herself in a number of projects. In 2016, Van der Woude produced a dream pop/triphop EP under the moniker ELLA with Stew Jackson (Massive Attack, Phantom Limb) reconciling her resourceful talent for arrangement with no-frills confessionals. Her upcoming album of docile, atmospheric piano-instrumentals is both informed by and created in her previous apartment, a place where she spent the majority of her creative life.
Ella states her single: “Bye Bye Little House is a romantic goodbye to a very small house in the heart of Amsterdam, that sheltered my states of mind and creativity at the start of my “adult”
life. The house was my safe haven, a hideaway where I could live with closed curtains and ignore the chaotic city and hectic life. Having a piano in there was a substantial comfort, and this song expresses my gratitude for everyone who helped me shape my love for music and taught me how to work for it.”
