Tallinn shoegaze duo Imandra Lake presents their new CD-single “Vööd EP” with six remixes of their track “Kaks Vööd”.
The opening track is Imandra Lake’s own single version, which has also been visualized by Joosep Volk in the beautiful scenery of Soomaa marshes.
God of mathematical guitarism, Argo Vals, pumps up the volume together with some electronical messing around. The futuristitc pop group Seeland, from Birgmingham, moves quietly but steadily along a psychedelic track, adding a pinch of afro feeling and heaped spoonfuls of reverb. Our local Tallinn Daggers surprises with minimal dance overwhelmed by echoing guitars. “Kaks vööd” is then remade through new, English lyrics and some postrock treatment by Leeds based Richard Vincent Adams with The Declining Winter. Wolfredt throws the fellow shogazers into massive waves of sound, making us anticipate their album, due this autumn. The final remix from Glasgow lof-fi bossanova guru Bill Wells gives us a hand to step down from the rollercoaster and calm the body and mind with the lightness of all this Wellsness.
“Kaks vööd” was featured on Imandra Lake’s second album “Avane”. Earlier single was “Metsatants” and a video has been made for “Hall”. The next arrival will be a another EP late this autumn after which the band start working on a new album. “Vööd EP” is released as a limited edition of only 250 hand-numbered CDs.http://facebook.com/imandralake
